Coucou!

I have not updated this blog for quiet a while now. The school has a facebook account and posting pictures there is very facilitating for me, that's why i preferred updating facebook account regularly. Trouble is i cannot really talk much about how things are in school in FB. Now this blog account is great for that purpose. Julien has been pushing me to write and update this site. So here i am now. Hopefully, i will not need him to push me to update regularly. If there is a midyear resolution...updating of this site will be mine.

It is summerbreak now. I can now sigh with relief. Though i miss the children and i miss teaching, my tummy is heavy now and i start to waddle like a duck. I am on my 8th month. I am looking forward to holding baby girl in my arms.

I am sharing with you what i have written in our third and final newsletter. I will have more to share soonest.

From Teacher Madie’s pen -

The year has gone by so quickly. But I guess that is a common perception when you live with young children. Time passes quickly. The years go by in a twinkling. And sooner than you would believe, we will soon welcome summer time. And in our classroom, a few of us will be saying good-bye. Most of the children and the teachers will stay.

We’ve done such an awful lot of work since July of last year. The children has learned a lot and have grown so much.
Personally, I did so many things for the first time this year. It was the first time for me to be back teaching in the Philippines after 5 years of teaching in France. Things felt new, but comfortably familiar at the same time.

I had a great support from Teacher Queennie and Teacher Wen - the support necessary (and the sense of humor necessary) to get through the not so good days. I want to express my deepest thanks to all the parents. Thank you for sharing your children with me.

When summer break will begin, I will take time, all by myself, to let go of what has been. Letting go today to make space for what is coming tomorrow.

I will see you all in June with a new baby girl in tow. Have a great Summer ahead.

Bisuos,
Teacher Madie
